Happy Friday! I hope wherever you’re reading this from, that you’re safe from the Hurricane Helene! She seems like a tricky little lady for sure. I hate storms, but I know everyone hates them and that it’s not just me.
While it’s a weekend, this is definitely not a weekend ‘off’ for me. I’ve got real estate, pure barre and mahjong this weekend! Teaching AND hopefully playing mahjong. Did you know I teach mahjong? If not, well now you do! It’s the most fun and I would love to teach you and your friends!
It’s been a really productive week this week and I have a big confession: I’ve officially broken my shopping ban. 100 days is a LONG time, I knew that going into my challenge, but I still was optimistic. I then quickly realized I needed clothes that fit, and most of my fall clothes were too big.
So a little shopping I’ve done.
What I’m Loving:
-I found sneakers I LOVE. Not sure if they’re on the same page as Vejas, but I love these. And this brand is always so, so comfy.
-This dress is the perfect transition piece and the price can’t be beat. The olive is perfect for right now.
-I went to the Tuckernuck pop-up on Wednesday at Juliska and it really reinforced my love of the brand. Their Hyacinth House line is perfection at such a good price point. I grabbed a few pieces; especially in love with this green midi and this floral dress.
-Another great price point, this cream blouse is ideal for skirts, jeans, everything.
-I’ve long been lusting after the Chanel two-tone slingbacks, but I cannot and will not justify the price point right now. This pair is a true steal, and looks identical. A really great pair of slingbacks to see if you actually need/want to invest in a quality pair (that doesn’t have a Chanel comma).
I “upgraded” my living room rug this past week; it was older and just in blah condition. I couldn’t decide what I wanted, but what I knew I wanted was a low commitment and I found the perfect rug. You can’t beat that price! Speaking of rugs, I’m really wanting a fun rug for my guest bathroom, and I think this is it. Thoughts?
What I’m Reading/Listening to:
-Somehow I am STILL working my way through one hardback book and one on kindle. I think I’m in a big audiobook mood lately, just frankly out of convenience.
-I’m slowly working through You Like it Darker because the short stories are just so good. I’m halfway through and have two favorites already.
-We’ve picked a really fun book for our October book club and I’m halfway through it. I’ll probably finish this weekend (that’s the goal!)
I’m off to get some work done and think about getting some lunch at the Harbour Club. Hoping for some fun mahj and needlepoint time this weekend!
