Hello from sunny, warm Morgantown! (It’s not warm, it’s been rainy but I really love this house). I flew up on Thursday night and I don’t know what it is, but I always leave feeling so refreshed from my time here. Maybe it’s the house, the slower pace, the work put in to renovating it (I learned so much), but it’s always just a joy.
Can we take a moment to talk about THAT GAME. I understand the Jayhawks are not who they once were, but let me tell you how good a conference win against a blue blood team feels.
The answer: Amazing.
Ending the day with a teeny bit of Poppy-approved shopping and a fishbowl at my favorite watering hole in town; there’s not much better than this.
2026 is off to a START, let me just tell you. Packing a bag eight days in seems to be setting the tone for what’s to come. I’m still trying to determine my word of the year (I’m writing this on Friday and I’m hoping to share my word by next Sunday.

With the weather being so nice this week in Charleston, I found myself taking as many of my calls as I could outside. There’s something so great about a walk and talk. Who wants to go for a walk and talk this year with me? Next weekend?
I have found something I NEED. I need this favorite things shirt. I know in every ounce of my soul I need this shirt. While I know I am not supposed to be shopping, I may indulge and get this.
I’m still trying realllly hard to not shop this month, but I AM browsing. I’m filling my carts and I also really want to empty my closet(s). Is a closet sale worth doing? Or do I just drop off and not worry about it?
Back to my ever-obsessing self thinking about denim. I found a few pair that are semi-barrel legged and I think . . . I love them? The wash on this pair just speaks to me, while the cuff on these mid-rise jeans really says “I want to live with you.” Yes, denim speaks.
Sneakers. I love sneakers. This pair is on super sale and I think I see them every time I’m in a big city and or a major airport.
My hands down favorite every day lip balm is under $5. Buy one, buy four, buy as many as you can because it’s so good. A winter makeup brightening drop I have in my rotation is also on sale.
Marine Layer is a brand I really just love. It’s underrated in my opinion and not enough people talk about it. This sweatshirt is perfect for the man in your life. I have this sweater and LOVE it. I really want this coat.
We have a warm weather trip in a few weeks and I am truly resisting the urge to get a few pieces for the trip. Do I need them? Absolutely not. Do I want them? Absolutely yes. This crochet top is on super sale and I really love a set. Both the top and the skirt would be worn A TON this spring and summer.
