A Sunday Spot: 24

It’s. Been. WEEKS. Gosh, the second half of April literally hit me in the face (just wait). A week in Morgantown really rejuvenated me, and I was so hopeful that the rest of the month would be smooth sailing.
SIKE.
Mere days after coming home from West Virginia a freak cleaning accident resulted in seven stitches in my eyebrow and a black eye. Happy to report it could have been much, much worse and I am 99% back to normal. But man, stitches in your face really humble a girl!

What else has been happening in the last few weeks?! Several listings under contract, one with a new price and prepping business for the second half of the year! Add in mahjong, personal obligations, and some social time and the days and weeks are FLYING by.

I’ve been burning the same candle almost daily when working from home, and the scent is just perfect for spring. Makes me crave Italy, but tbh I am always craving Italy.

What I’ve been reading/listening to:
-I am still talking about the memoir I flew through a few weeks ago, literally as recently as Friday night. A storyline that happens to many, but the 1% of the 1% makes it more enthralling (that prenup).
-I devoured the trad wife novel everyone has been talking about, truly in four days. THE TWIST. Wow wow.
-Prior to the trad wife read, I listened to a pretty dark novel about weight loss drugs gone wrong. It’s a bit gory and intense, and made me think about the lengths people will go to to look a certain way (spoiler: It’s very clearly fiction).
-Lastly, I listened to what I can only describe as what it would be like to be on a c-list boyband cruise. Easy, and I giggled.

Things I’m Loving:
-Buy the fun jeans. I have been so into a fun pant, specifically an off white denim. I love these wide legs with a platform and a fun top; I wore that exactly last Saturday. A more affordable option can be found here, way less splurgy!
-I really love fun serving platters for entertaining, and wanted to replace the one that got thrown away with bad vibes from above.
-Per Gen Z on TT, the it shoe of the summer are a nostalgic summer throwback. Love ’em.
-Do I need on-brand pajamas? I really do love a matching pj set. And I could wear them for pajama night in May!
-I have a love of fun, summer clutches. Checks the box with the color, too.
-A second on-brand clutch for me, it just sparks joy.
-I have the same sweater in a camel color, and I reach for it every few days. Another color is on super sale.
-I have to say, I have not bought a ton from Tuckernuck this year, but I did find a dress I need.
-I love an easy maxi in the spring and summer, it would be perfect for travel too.

I’m off to stitch, workout and then teach!
Have the best week!
xx
