Happy Sunday, happy Sunday!
We’re back on track and back in the groove, officially. I’m at our house in NC, heading back to Charleston tomorrow morning! I came back up midweek last week to go to the most fun stitching event and stayed through the weekend.
Today’s agenda: cooking, laundry and the World Cup Final!! I think I’m rooting for Spain. I know I’m rooting for Spain. So fun to watch!
The World Cup really has been so fun to watch and helped to fill the midsummer gap of not a ton of sports on.
Thursday morning, I took a little drive over to Raleigh to head to the Inslee Fariss Studio for a day of needlepointing with CoCo Frank x Inslee. They have the most beautiful collaboration of canvases and this was such a treat for myself. I challenged myself in January to do one thing a month I would normally talk myself out of doing (or some variation of telling myself no), so when this popped up I knew it was the activity for me.
This is the time of year when end of summer sales are popping up everywhere. I’m doing my best to not partake in the sales (I need nothing, especially post-Europe), but there are some sleeper sales.
Marine Layer is one that I love to browse this time of year.
-I love this sweater tank. I feel like it’s perfect with linen for a casual evening.
-A staple dress that can be worn almost year-round in Charleston.
-I am a sucker for a striped bikini and this top and bottom set are timeless.
-There are some great mens finds as well: swim shorts, everyday shorts, a fun short-sleeved top.
Books I’m Loving Currently:
-A new thriller by a favorite author, I’m a third through after pool time yesterday
-A thriller I burned through, laughed a little and predicted the outcome
-An audiobook I’m 20 minutes into but loving
I’ve been on a major podcast fix: Good Hang and Love Trapped, I can’t get enough. I’m starting Acquired, as well, and I love an enjoyable learning moment.
I have a new to me sports bra coming in the mail this week. Have you ever worn this brand? Thoughts? I think it’s the Taylor Swift bra, but I need to double check that fact.
I ordered a new summer set of pajamas that feel more like post-sun loungewear over sleepwear. This short sleeve set is adorable and cozy as well.
A new towel wrap is on my August wish list. I need to replace mine, it’s seen its day.
