A Sunday Spot: 29

Bonjour! It’s Monday? Who knows what day it actually is. The days/week post-vacation blur together in a way that I just STRUGGLE with. What a trip was had, though! We started in London, trained to Paris, bopped to Reims and Le Mans and then back to Paris. A HOT trip, with no air conditioning the first week, but the smoothest and easiest travel which is such a luxury these days. We had the best time and now we are fully planted back into reality.

When we first landed in London, I set a personal goal of running a minimum of three miles every day of our trip. Daily exercise is ingrained in my routine and there’s nothing better than keeping up with as much routine as possible while on vacation. I ran daily in what I’ve decided is my favorite running shoe and I’m happy to report that I tackled a minimum of three miles (sometimes more!) daily and came in at 55 miles ran. AND I set my mile PR. The great Paris purse run was a success (iykyk)!!!

London was HOT, and there was very little air conditioning, but Harry at Wembley was nothing short of amazing! Paris was amazing, Reims was bubbly and Le Mans had more cars than I thought possible. I’ll do a trip recap in the coming weeks to share some fun details! Lots of stories saved and posts over on the gram.

I walked well over 100 miles, in addition to running, and all three daily wear shoes were from the same brand. I’m here to say that Loeffler really does make the very, very best shoes. Lots of miles and my feet survived:
My forever favorite ballet flat
THE BEST sandal
A new trendy take on canvas

The very first thing I did on our trip was head straight to Dyson and buy the UK/EU airwrap. No regrets. This was a great purchase for the trip. I really think it’s the best tool in my arsenal. If you’re on the fence, I can’t recommend it enough.
I made sure to use a nighttime hair product given the heat and not cool temps, and I think that helps maintain your hair health while traveling.

I feel like I went into our trip heavily organized. Almost everything was organized into little mini systems and too many pouches to count. I need to whip out the embroidery machine and stitch some fun puns on them all! The pouches come in a smaller size, as well!

Confession: I did not read a single book or listen to a minute of an audiobook on our trip. The day we left, I had such high hopes of reading and listening to some books I was so excited about. Instead, J & I just honestly yapped. And I listened to a lot of Harry while running (has anyone looked at his marathon splits?!).

More on Sunday, I SWEAR!
