A Sunday Spot: 17

Happy day after Valentine’s Day! I really do love love, and I love Valentine’s Day. It’s just such a corny, happy day. This year’s Valentine’s Day was a BUSY work day, and today is shaping up to be another busy one as well! Let’s be real, the entire month of February has been jam-packed and spring busies are here early this year!

My week was a lot of work, a little play and not a ton of downtime but that is okay because we all know I like to be on the go. This week is shaping up to be the same, and I’m so excited to head to North Carolina for a little long weekend, where I hope I get to relax and stitch and sit!
(Do I actually like to sit?)

If I’m honest, there hasn’t been much reading, audiobook listening or podcasting for me this week. With the exception of ONE audiobook, and it’s a rollercoaster. Intense and dark, and I have to listen and then take a break. Lather, rinse, repeat. I really like the author’s past book I’ve read so I’m excited to see where this one goes. I haven’t picked up my kindle read since LAST FRIDAY. I’ve been getting in bed exhausted and ignoring my reading.

I placed an Ulta order of some travel size products (buy one get one free through Monday) and saw that my favorite everyday lip treatment had a new color in Sweet Macaron. I’m obsessed with these and have them in my car and in every bag I carry.
Buy One, Get One Loves:
The blow dry spray I use on every hair wash
My favorite mascara primer
One of my favorite everyday mascaras
(PSA: Ulta now sells Rare Beauty, I love their mascara –also a good everyday and I really love their liquid blush in Joy)

I’ve been on a major, major Sezane kick lately. Their silhouettes fit me really well and I feel like the brand is so chic, a hint of trendy and I don’t feel like an old lady wearing the brand.
I am LUSTING over this embroidered top. If it’s still in stock in April, I’m buying it.
How much denim is too much denim? I don’t think the limit exists, but this top screams summer in Europe to me. As well as early spring in Charleston with some ecru jeans.

I went down a raincoat rabbit hole this week and saw the cutest raincoat at J.Crew. Instantly, I was like “oh I want” and then realized I already own it! I just haven’t been styling it the way they are right now. It really is the perfect raincoat.
(Side note: this cute short trench could be perfect for spring, too!!)

I have a love-dislike-unsure relationship with a rollneck sweater. I can’t tell if my face is too round for them or not (my gut says it is). I found a great striped alternative, more rollneck adjacent and I really like it.

When we were in Florida for a few days, I remembered what humidity does to my hair and I immediately ordered this anti-humidity spray for when humidity comes back to move in for the season.
I’m LUSTING over these wide leg jeans. I’ve been reaching for a similar pair in light wash a ton lately, and a darker pair does feel more elevated and evening-esque.

I’ll leave you with two things:
-the Furbish end of season sale is too good, THE PILLOWS.
-I am wearing my unhinged January purchase daily. 100/10 recommend.
xx, A
