Friday Faves: Volume I

My weekly list of loves starts now 🙂

Happy Friday! I personally love an end-of-week roundup and wanted to start sharing mine. In my opinion, there’s something really great about a list of loves. It sparks inspiration and can help to remind you of what you’re missing (or tell me what I am missing!).

What I’m listening to this week:
Comfort Food with Kelly Rizzo “Growin’ Up with John Mayer” Holy moly is this a great conversation. Kelly and John discuss their continuing grief over Kelly’s husband (and John’s good friend), Bob Saget. It’s such a poignant look on how grief ebbs and flows and evolves over time. They both have such a love and respect for each other, and for Bob, that it’s great insight on how people heal over time. (CW: death and grief)
Crime Junkie “The Mysterious Death of Lauren Agee” I just really enjoy listening to Ashley Flowers and find her conversations to not be too overly doom and dark, but rather a diet 20/20 or Dateline. The length of her episodes is perfect for a midday work break.
New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce Hear me out, these brothers are funny. You don’t have to love football to enjoy this show. I’ve been listening to their podcast for other a year, pre-Taylor, and I just find them so funny. Jason Kelce is a gem of a human and has the most infectious laugh (CW: lots of foul language)
The Mel Robbins Podcast I was introduced to Mel Robbins a few months ago in my industry professionals book club and have so enjoyed her work since. She’s got something for everyone and it’s just nice to hear what she brings to the table.

Links I’m loving:
(Confession: I am TRYING to go the month of January without shopping and I am REALLY wanting to dip my toes into resort wear and spring clothes. I’ve got a trip in a few weeks (!!!) and I am really really wanting some of the following:
Loeffler Randall Fae Platform Sandals: I’ve got a gift card AND there’s a promo. Aka almost free . . . if that’s not girl math, I don’t know what it is.
Dolce Vita Ilva Heels: I’m on a spring shoe refresh but Dolce Vita shoes never steer me wrong. I can wear them for hours with no issue. This pair looks perfect for work and play.
Everlane Way-High Jean: I’m forever on the hunt for a ‘perfect’ pair of jeans and I keep coming back to this particular pair. I’ve never worn this brand before, but I can’t help but keep looking at them. Do I ‘need’ another pair of jeans going into the spring?!
Oversized Sunnies: I saw Ferrari in the movie theatre a few weeks ago and now all I want are giant, oversized sunglasses. I’m well aware that these Gucci sunnies are huge and extra extra, but I love them anyway?!
Farm Rio Aura Floral Mini Dress: Okay, I feel like I can wear this for three things; February trip, wine+food AND my May trip. The cost per wear is great on this one (girl math again).

What I’m reading (online) this week:
An Ode to Hard Knocks: I can’t get enough of the Miami Dolphins head coach, Mike McDaniel. Therefore I’ve loved watching Hard Knocks: In Season and I thoroughly enjoyed this article echoing my sentiments. Are you watching this?!
MONICA from RHOSLC: Okay, yes these two links are technically about ‘reality tv,’ BUT HOLY MOLY Monica blew up the Salt Lake Housewives and this was fascinating.
Mahjong as a stress reliever?!: I’m into mahjong, in fact, I’m hosting a mahjong class tomorrow with eleven friends! I’ve really enjoyed learning and playing this game (and the colorful tiles that go along with it). This was such a fun read on the trend.
Why the Oscars Snubbed Greta Gerwig: Leaving you on this one. Someone tell me who missed the memo on Barbie?!

What are your favorites this week?
