Friday Faves: Volume V

I’m officially B A C K back from vacation and what a trip it was! Kauai was probably the most beautiful place I have been to in the entire United States. It was so much more green than the pictures made it out to be, photos do not do it justice!

With that being said, I’m back with another list of my weekly favorites. Reading, online articles, a few shopping links. All the things.

Favorite Things:
This. Lip. Mask. I’m on my third container and I love it. It was a life saver for sunkissed lips in Hawaii!
Daily Essential Mineral Sunscreen. Forever a repurchase, but this (and their tinted!) kept me from getting too much sun last week. Combine it with their sunless tanner and you too can have a Hawaiian glow in February!
Forever Afraid of Dehydration. LMNT packets are lifesavers after big, sweaty workouts. And days at the pool. And hike that last for hours. Hot tip: we sell these at pure barre, so lmk if you want some locally. You can take my class, come pick up some LMNT and shop the retail we have in store!

Books I’m Reading (& Listening to)
-Psssst. Did you check out my top reads of 2023?! Missed them? Right here for you to read.
The Secret of Villa Alba was one of my book club reads this month. Loved how it combined past & present. And let’s be real, I love anything Italian.
Only if You’re Lucky. I love this author and I did not see this ending the way it did! I stayed up very late on vacation one night to finish this!
The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle: I started listening to this a few weeks ago and it’s a good, slow burn.

What I’m Learning:
Okay this is new this week. I want to share a few things that I’ve learned about each week. These may be all over the place, but we’ll see! Isn’t that the beauty of learning?!
Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles: Are we friends on instagram?! If not, you may have missed out on the most outstanding, amazing experience I had in Kauai. The Hawaiian greens come ashore at one spot in Kauai to sleep on the sand at sunset. It’s. Amazing. Anywhere from 1-100 turtles at a time. What does this have to do with learning? I learned all about the organization that protects the turtles and how it’s ALL volunteer-run.
A 3D-printed house?! I never knew how amazed I could be by 3D printing until J bought one. It’s fascinating. And now a house has been 3D-printed?!

What I’m Reading Online:
Reesa. Teesa. I mean WOW. Did you watch all 50 TikToks or did you take a deep dive into reading all about it? I just cannot.
More Scandoval: This Tom Sandoval NY Times interview did not do him any favors at all, if I can share my opinion. It was just unreal.
The Importance of Book Clubs: This was just such a good reminder of how much good a book club can do. I love it.

I hope you have a fab weekend! How is it the last weekend of February?! I’m ready for consistently warmer weather but not ready for time to be flying by so quickly!
