I thought it would be fun to share (another) rolling list of my favorite home products. This is my personal list and I would love your recommendations if you have items that work better than what I have!
One of the things I love to do is to offer a recommendation. Whether it be a restaurant, hotel, service provider or cleaning supplies; I love to research and I love to find the best and share what I know. This list is great for all of my new home owner clients/friends, as well as those who are getting ready to sell/list their house (with me of course).
Tell me what I’m missing on this list!
– August Smart Lock and Keypad: This is my top home product and I recommend this lock & keypad to everyone I know. I love that I never have to lock/unlock my door with my keys and I love the auto-unlock option when I get home. The other aspect of this item that I love is being able to assign contractors/cleaners/handymen their own unique code to the use the door. This provides safety & security when I’m traveling and someone needs to access my home; it’s nice to have knowledge of when someone is coming and going from my home (I think you’ll feel this way too)
–Ring Doorbell Camera: This really needs no explanation in 2023/2024. Make sure you have a ring doorbell on your home. It’s just such a level of protection, safety and comfort. PLUS you can always see when your Amazon packages get delivered!
–Garbage Disposal Foaming Cleaner: These are such a RANDOM product, but I love the idea of cleaning my garbage disposal. Think about it: it literally disposes of food trash. These are great to use monthly and help keep your kitchen sink clean. A MUST if you cook a lot!
–Rechargeable USB Lighter: This is purely vain, but inexpensive. I LOVE this rechargeable lighter. I really love lighting candles all the time and this is the best lighter I’ve purchased. Bonus, but combine this with a nice candle and a bottle of wine and you’ve got yourself a great housewarming gift for a friend!
–Meater Wireless Digital Thermometer: Okay here me out. Is this somewhat superfluous? Yes. Do I ‘need’ this? No. Does it simplify cooking or grilling meat? Yes. I don’t grill much at my condo, but when I travel to family, grilling happens often and this is such a great tool! If your new home has outdoor space and you’re a fan of grilling, the Meater is a must!
–Weiman Stainless Steel Cleaning Kit: This is a staple in my cleaning supplies and both are always a repurchase. Really, these need minimal explanation. If you’ve got stainless steel appliances, these are a must!
–Weiman Stainless Steel Cookware Cleaner: Another easy cleaning product. It’s just so good for your stainless cookware.
–Weiman Glass Cooktop Cleaner and Polish: This cleaner leaves my glass cooktop sparkling after every meal cooked. I can’t say enough about this brand, clearly.
–OurPlace Wonder Oven: One more miscellaneous, not-necessary item. I toyed with getting an air fryer for years. I didn’t want it to be too bulky and I really wanted it to be aesthetically pleasing. Our Place fit the bill. It’s small and ADORABLE. I’ve really loved mine!
–Bona Starter Kit: Finally, the end-all, be-all of floor cleaning. I love the Bona kit and I make sure that almost everyone I know has a Bona. The starter kit is the perfect set to get you on your way!
This is just ten items I LOVE for my home, and recommend for so many of my clients and new home owners. What else would you add?
