Reading Nook: My 2024 Books

Happy Monday! What a fun weekend I had this past weekend! A quick solo trip to Charlottesville to see a very close friend and celebrate her soon to be baby! The second in a row of very fun trips ahead for me, I can’t wait to share where I’m off to next.

I thought since we’re a third of the way through the year I would welcome you into my little reading nook in my corner of the internet. My goal this year is to read 90 books, and when writing this I’m 30 books in to the year.

I’ll admit, I have STRUGGLED to love a lot of books this year thus far. Last year, I read so many books that I LOVED. This year, I’m struggling.

2024 Books I’ve LOVED so far:
West with Giraffes: I was recommended this several years ago, and admittedly ignored it. I can’t believe I waited this long. I cannot tell you how much I loved this.
Strange Sally Diamond: This was much darker than I anticipated, but I really enjoyed it! I didn’t see some of the twists in this one.
What the River Knows: I didn’t realize right away that this is technically a YA book, but the story and the ending was so good. This book made me want to take an Egyptian trip asap!

I’ve got a list of books I really, REALLY want to read and am hoping to knock off one or two of these (or more!) on vacation!

TBR Short List:
The Sicilian Inheritance
Darling Girls
She’s Not Sorry
Daughter of Mine

Have you read any of the above? If so, what should I read first?!
