Happy Sunday! What a COLD weekend. I think I’ve been cold for almost an entire week (or year). It’s probably because I started the week in Morgantown and am ending the week in cold Charleston. How was your week? Did it fly by like mine? I think the week flies by when I don’t have a Monday at my desk. I love a Monday (duh).
Another thing I’m loving? This page-a-day calendar I was gifted for Christmas. It sparks so much joy, and is such a little thing but I look forward to each day’s page.
This was such a quick week, full of family, friends and work. I came back Tuesday night and I blinked and here we are on Sunday already. Friday night after my open house, I was so excited for some couch time. Truly one of my favorite solo Friday night activities is a show or movie and take out on my couch. Thursday, I shared a slightly more vulnerable post where I talked about my word of the year, thank you for reading it and being so supportive. It means so much.
I’ve read/listened to four (!!) books this year already. One of them was SO close to a five star but I didn’t 100% love the ending. It was good, but I wanted it to end just a little differently. I finished an older book this week and immediately started the Netflix show. I wish the show was set in the UK like the book and not rural Atlanta.
Confession: I did not in fact make it the month of January without shopping. I tried, but I had a few stress/emotional shopping moments. I know, I know. I’ll do better in February (hopefully).
I am, however, continuing to purge my closets. I have a bag the size of a Christmas tree storage bag full of clothes to get rid of (and more to go still). Does anyone local want clothes?!
Now that I’ve confessed my shopping sins, let’s talk about what I’m loving this week:
-These sneakers I mentioned last week are still on super sale and are just so cute. I can’t wait to wear them with these jeans.
-The Leopard Bow Flats. THE LEOPARD BOW FLATS. I can just tell these are going to be my entire personality this year. I’m obsessed.
-This striped heart top is so cute. I really leaned into my love of hearts on clothes last year and this top is just a chef’s kiss of a touch of heart. It would be so cute for a school Valentine’s Day event, look at the matching tee!
-I bought this tee early December and it’s on sale now. I love it tucked into these jeans specifically (I wore to a mini bestie’s birthday and thought I looked adorbs)
-I’ve had my eyes set on this lilac fair isle since the week of Thanksgiving. It’s adorable and want to wear it fully buttoned with a fun lace top underneath.
-I only buy cashmere when it’s on sale and I am so excited for this sweater, specifically with these fun pants. I’m 99% sure this is my mahj outfit on Tuesday!
