Happy Sunday! Fall is officially here . . . tomorrow?! And September is a third of the way through? Tell me how, because this month has flown by faster than the summer months did. I feel like I haven’t traveled as much this football season as other seasons? Maybe because I’ve only been to one game thus far? I’ll fly home to the Big 12 opener early Friday morning for a quick weekend, and I can’t wait for a night game in MPS. There’s nothing like it, just electric.
A night game after a Top 25 upset. I’m riding that high from last night’s win all day today. Nothing like it, nothing like it.
I feel like I have been SLACKING on my reading lately, but I finally finished the book I started in Harbour Island and oddly enough, I loved the author’s note at the end SO MUCH. If you love a thriller and a historical fiction, this one is for you. Add in Paris as the backdrop and it’s perfect.
Friday morning, I started the new Jennifer Hillier and I really think she does no wrong. I’m going straight into fall thrillers for my preferred reading in the near future, you’ve been warned.
Speaking of spooky season, if any of my fellow needlepointers don’t have plans Wednesday, join us at the movies! Lowcountry Needlepoint is hosting a private screening of Practical Magic 2 with the lights on so we can watch and stitch. I cannot wait.
Tickets can be found here, there’s only a few left!
I’m still making a concentrated effort to NOT buy clothes right now, adding in shoes and accessories. I do, however, still have these purple suede flats in my cart. Itching away at me, but I know I do not need them. I’m going to a shopping event in the city in a few weeks, and I really want to not buy anything until that happens!!
Have I talked about my beloved fall mules I did purchase? I can’t stop wearing them and I know my West Virginia trip will be the perfect place to wear them again. If you’re on the fence on buying them, just do it.
Boden has been a HIT lately. A few items I’m loving: this mini jacket, the perfect pink cardigan, a fun red cardigan and this colorblocked sweater.
Yesterday, I broke out a pair of jeans I haven’t worn since literally last November and I realized how much I loved them. They’re on sale now!
I’ll leave you with this: someone tell me I do not need these sunglasses. Please.
Or do I?!
The race for the Big 12 starts Saturday, I can’t wait!
xx
