A Sunday Spot: 41

A new month and a Sunday! A treat. I really love a new month on a Monday but I love a Sunday the 1st almost as much! Poppy left today, and his departure has me counting down until Christmas (I know, I know). I should also mention that for the first time in a few years, my Christmas tree is NOT going up on November 1. I just wanted to wait a teeny bit longer.

New month, same me, more goals? Let’s talk about where I want to see the year end. Health goals (iykyk), personal goals (I have to purge and donate more, I have too much stuff), professional goals (more on those later this month!) are all priorities for me right now. Health, though, she’s my main focus. Listening to my body (again, this is cryptic but iykyk).
It’s also WILD to me that I only have one more trip planned for the rest of the year, whereas I normally have 2-3 more trips. It’s . . . kind of nice to be settled?

This past week was packed, but what week isn’t?! Lots of teaching mahjong, celebrating Poppy’s birthday and lots of stitching. I did it to myself and decided to tackle a big, new needlepoint project. It’s Christmas themed, so I keep telling myself I need to capital F finish it before Christmas (how tf do I think I can do this?!).

I’m back on my books, FINALLY! I finished this sequel, which I mentioned last week and just thoroughly enjoyed it. I love a good thriller, and am a sucker for any book preview that mentions a trip to Italy, so my current listen is the perfect blend.
We went to Buxton Books for Becca Freeman’s new book release, and I just can’t wait to dig in to that one. I’m toying with the new Jodi Picoult book, has anyone read it yet? Finally, I was recommended Witch Trial and I think it’s going to be my next listen. Anything you would recommend?!

Has anyone recently shopped at Gap? Are we sleeping on Gap? Because they have some great, great sweaters I’ve been eyeing.
-an oversized crewneck that has the perfect crew neck (I feel like if they look too wide without putting on, the stretch out is just bad)
-the way I LOVE a chunky cardigan
-Victoria Beckham x Gap is vibe, this coat is great if you didn’t recently just purchase a new coat in New York (looking at myself in the mirror obviously).

I found the cutest oversized boyfriend sweater, on sale, and I love the color options. I have it from last year, and I would recommend sizing down in it.
I’m still on the fence on striped pants. Will they actually look good on me?

Speaking of pants, I caved and bought the pants. The viral taffeta pants. I just . . . love them. I’m leaning in heavy on miracle balm, even though I had no clue the brand was for “mature skin” until after I started using it. Do I have mature skin? Dear lord I hope not.
I have finally found a closed-toe black heel I like, that doesn’t have a red bottom (because those aren’t for every day). Has anyone shopped this brand? I did the pre-order so tbd!
Poppy bought me a super cute fall dress while he was here and I just can’t wait to wear it. But to where?!

Have the very best week! I’m off to mahj and stitch!
xx
