A Sunday Spot: 32

Happy first Sunday of August! One week until my birthday trip and I’m so excited about it. We leave early next Sunday and come back late Friday night. The perfect amount of time away, plus it gets you home for a full Monday! Last Monday felt like my first really, really productive Monday since coming back from my trip. I’m hoping tomorrow is just as productive and sets this week up for a great pre-vacation week. I can just feel the productivity coming.

This past week was full of work, stitching (finished a canvas, started a new one, ready for a big project — is it pillow time again?!), and lots of mahjong. I’m gearing up for Tuesday Club this fall!

I’m getting my nails done on Tuesday, trying a new place (!!!) and I feel like it’s always a gamble. Any nail color suggestions?

One of my listings is temporarily off the market, and one is still kicking! The one listed downtown is listed well below appraisal and the seller is also open to renting it out. Anyone know anyone?! If so, please share the listing and send those people my way!

I’ve finally started the new Kathryn Stockett and I am LOVING it. It’s a long one, but I loved The Help, and the characters in this one are just as good. My pool read won a BOTM award last year and I think I’m officially late to the game on this one. It’s been a while since I left a hardcover book in the pool bag, so it’s nice to have a dedicated pool book again!! I’m doing the new Emily Giffin on kindle, and every time I read one of her books I am instantly transported to Something Borrowed.

I’ve had this yellow anthro dress in my cart for quite literally three months. I keep hoping it will get marked down before the end of the summer. So far, still full priced. And so far, I still don’t think I need it at full price. Anthro sends a 20% off coupon for your birthday every year, and I always try to use it on something “practical” like a candle or 11 (this is a joke). This year, I’m using it on a pair of Mother denim that look a little more structured than I normally lean towards.
Speaking of end of summer, I purchased a new bathing suit from a favorite brand of mine this week. I wanted one more new suit for the season, and the rope tie straps were perfect.
Another thing I’m loving? Jelly sandals. I have such a fond memory of jelly sandals in the 90s (and the blisters they brought with them). I purchased grown up jellies and I am so excited about it.

My favorite running shorts came out in several new colors. I do not need another pair, but I do love the chameleon color.
I’ve been loving my sports bra I mentioned last week and have some of the brand’s new socks coming in the mail this week.

Have the best start to your week! I can’t believe it’s August already! Time to start thinking about sweaters and scarves . . . maybe?!
xx
