Hello from the airport! We’re officially off on my birthday trip. Checking off a country and an island we’ve never been to before! Travel, especially international (even when it’s close), always makes me feel so grateful for everything I have. Add in my birthday in two days (!!!) and I couldn’t be more thrilled for this week!
I want to say the cliche phrases of “I need a vacation” or “I need downtime” but we all know I just came back from almost three weeks in the UK & Europe, so I know I’m just a lucky girl to be able to bop off to another trip!
I have to confess: I finished Kathryn Stockett’s book and have had over a week-long book hangover. That. Story. Was. So. Good. I finished a fun little audiobook about an American archivist in a Tuscan baroness’s home to essentially cleanse my book palate after, super super cute.
I have my kindle packed and the new hardcover Jo Piazza novel for the week. Eeek!!
It’s no secret that one of my hobbies is mahjong: playing, teaching, talking about it. All things mahj. The bird bam is my favorite tile and I found the cutest bracelet. I’m lusting after it. Strong lust emotions for it.
A few things I have packed for my trip:
-The cutest new bathing suit (a bit of a splurge, but hard to say no when it fits so well)
-My favorite running shorts, that I can safely say I did not purchase the chameleon ones I wanted last week (there’s always this week as a birthday treat!)
–Kerastase night serum: I feel like getting in and out of the ocean/pool (in case I get my hair wet) will mean my locks need extra attention.
-My favorite event heels. Normally, I go with my go-to lower height, but I really wanted a platform for this trip.
-My custom hat. Click the link, buy it. Plan for a few weeks to customize it, but it came in the mail and OMG.
(Let’s be real, I 100% have two checked bags coming with me, no one wants a detailed rundown of what I’ve packed. These are just some highlights)
I’m off! Time to airport stitch. Have the best week!
xx
